Beginners Level 2 ~ 5wk Course with Shaila

Once you’ve learned the basics, you’ll be ready to take your yoga to the next level

In Beginners Level 2 you’ll build on your foundations to advance to the full practice of Salute to the Sun and introduce more challenging postures such as the Warrior series and Triangle pose. 

As you learn new breathing techniques you’ll come to understand how working with the breath works with your energetic field and can help calm the mind for meditation.

You’ll deepen your meditation practice too as you’ll be able to sit still for longer and quieten the mind to connect with the witness aspect of yourself.

 

By the end of the five-week course you will:

~ Have developed your strength and flexibility through practice of challenging asana.

~ Know the full Salute to the Sun series, the Warrior series and Triangle pose. 

~ Have developed your skill in breathing practices (pranayama) that work with your energetic field.

~ Be able to connect with the witness aspect of yourself through the introduction of new stages in Yoga Nidra.

~ Be able to sit comfortably in meditation and still the body to watch the mind.

 

5 WEEK EVENING COURSE

DATE: Monday 13 November – Monday 11 December

*There will be no class on the 12 June Public Holiday

TIME: 7:45 pm - 9:15 pm

Beginners Yoga Level 1 ~ 5wk course with Michael

At Manly Yoga we won't throw you in the deep end and expect you to keep up with more experienced students

Instead, we've designed a series of beginners courses to guide you through the practices one step at a time.

Our five-week Beginners Yoga Level 1 Course systematically covers the foundations of a balanced yoga practice in a non-competitive environment in classes small enough to provide the personal attention you deserve. (8-15 participants).

As you work through the postures (asana) you’ll build strength, flexibility and confidence in your body and your mind.

 

By the end of the course you will:

• Understand the four aspects of a yoga class, postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation

• Have increased strength and flexibility through practice of various asana including standing postures, forward bends, backward bends, twists and balances

• Know the modified Sun Salutation series

• Have the confidence and skills to take your practice to the next level
