In January of this year I decided to try yoga hoping that the exercises would help my flexibility, as I have rheumatoid arthritis & have suffered from this debilitating disease for 17 years. I must say that this was the best decision I could possibly have made. I've been doing yoga now for 10 months once a week & have noticed a big improvement in my bodies mobility, I am also aware that I have a more relaxed attitude about myself & my capability. When I first started yoga I needed support to get down onto the floor, now I can do it myself.

I have been a regular student at Manly Satyananda Yoga for several years now, and I can honestly say that this yoga has changed my life for the better on every level. I have practiced many different styles of yoga. However, with Satyananda Yoga, it is a total experience for mind, body and spirit, and I always feel that when I walk into the room I am "home". By regularly practicing yoga, nurturing silence, stillness, and one-pointed focus on the breath, the outside world no longer seems so harsh. I am grateful to Swami Satyananda's teachings and to the dedicated teachers at Manly Yoga who disseminate these wonderful practices of yoga.
